About Sri Chin Holdings

Sri Chin Holdings Private Limited was established in 2004 as an independent company. Based in Sri Lanka, we import and manufacture high-quality healthcare, laboratory and medical equipment and consumables for hospitals, pharmacies and other industrial factories.

Since inception we have been continuously expanding our product portfolio to cover new business segments, which has enabled us to maintain a sustained competitive advantage.

How we work with suppliers

We are committed to constantly improving the quality of our products through our quality systems. Our suppliers in China work closely with company management to introduce the most up-to-date developments to our product range.

Training on the use of all products is provided by expert trainers who work with us continually until we have acquired the relevant product know-how thoroughly. This has been a contributing factor to our continued success.

Manufacturing in Sri Lanka

Our partnership with Chinese manufacturing companies has enabled us to keep costs low while bringing customers current technological advances. Having a fully-fledged manufacturing facility in Sri Lanka lets us match supply to the needs and demand of local healthcare providers.

We have partnered with experts in the medical manufacturing industry in China to keep a strong reputation in delivering quality products, and in implementing the quality processes that deliver them.

The company was founded by medical doctor Cyril Liyanage, who had put down roots in China after living and practising medicine there for over 20 years. Through his profession he built strong connections with several medical manufacturing companies, and with that exposure he founded Sri Chin Holdings Private Limited in Sri Lanka in 2004.

The name ‘Sri Chin’ was chosen as a gesture of goodwill, to strengthen the partnerships with Chinese companies built through Dr Liyanage’s network within the healthcare industry. His efforts contributed to collaboration and trade between China and Sri Lanka.

Leadership

Dr Cyril Liyanage, the founder of Sri Chin Holdings Private Limited, has served as company director since its inception in 2004. He graduated in 1988 from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical College in Shanghai, China. After attaining his MBBS he practised in private institutions in China, later returning to Sri Lanka where he continued his practice for over 15 years at the Ministry of Health before establishing the company.
